mirror-exceptionalEveryone has something that is exceptional about them. Some get that they do and others don’t. There is nothing wrong with seeing and living the exceptional parts of YOU. It is a part of your overall makeup. The fact that you can take the time to see the exceptional parts of you only adds to your unique beauty. Being who you are draws people to you. For the most part, people love folks who are who they are no matter what.

Recently, I shared in a radio interview why I think I’m exceptional. It may seem like I’m being a little vain, but really I am not. I am humbled to be who I am and I live my life as such. It’s valuable for you to think well of YOU!

What makes me exceptional is that I go out of my way to support and connect with people to get to know them. One thing that I have learned after working in a corporate environment is that I am the same no matter where I am or who is around me. The funny thing is that while I worked in the corporate world, I don’t think I really understood that about myself.

A good friend once told me something and I’ve adopted it as my own: “I do WendyY really well so why be anyone else?” I’ve learned how powerfully that perspective carries me in every relationship and aspect of my business. Being WendyY means being outgoing and personable. When you see me tweeting things like “Woohoo!”, and “Kewl”, that is truly who I am. What makes me exceptional as I connect to people, is being truly and genuinely WendyY and loving the me that I am everyday.

    Now it’s your turn!

    What makes you exceptional?
What is it about you that is uniquely beautiful?

Chris Brogan was my guest on a special edition of my weekly radio show, Exceptional Experts, right before the Christmas holiday.  His sincere openness was very refreshing and totally heartwarming.

I want to share his very simple philosophy with you: Living your passions makes room for your life to unfold.

I asked Chris about his personal life and as he talked about his family he mentioned - in so many words - that living out his passion has made room for him to be there for those who mean the most to him — his family.

What an awesome philosophy! Too many people live their lives going to work day after day never living out their passions and missing out on the true value of life.   Your loved ones are truly your reason for being.

When you discover your passion and grasp hold of it, you’ll find that your life is abundantly enriched. Your passion makes room for your life and your life makes room for your passion. Passion and life are two characteristics that work together pretty well when you allow them to unfold organically.

Can you imagine what would happen if more people started walking in their passions?
The world would be a totally different place don’t you think?

I encourage you to embrace this philosophy. Chris’ perspective certainly made me stop and think.  No matter your passion, you’ll find greater meaning in your life with this new perspective. It’s all about how you choose to live your life and your reason for the choices you make.  Life is as relevant as you want it to be with a richness that pours itself out when others are around. Walk your path daily knowing that you are living your life with passion. Very liberating!

Chris Brogan is an Exceptional Experts who is passionate, alive, and vibrant in what he does in life. He has his own unique spin on doing what he does and that’s what makes him so great to be around. Chris lives out his passion and is proof that when you do that, you have plenty of room to live life.  More about Chris Brogan

What are you doing to make room for living your passions?
